Mongolian Barbecue Restaurant: "District XII: All you can Meat" Top 5 Page for this destination Mongolian Barbecue Tip by antistar

Mongolian Barbecue, Budapest: 4 reviews and 5 photos

Although called a Mongolian restaurant, this is actually a Taiwanese phenomenon that has spread around the world. Basically it's an all-you-can-eat meat-heavy barbecue, where the food is cooked up on great big flat metal plates before your eyes. You basically pick what you want, hand it over to the cook, and he fries it up right there in front of you.

It's actually fun, quick, tasty and can be survived by vegetarians due to the great choice of ingredients on offer. The number of meats on offer is impressive. All the usual suspects, plus a variety of the less than usual, including various game meat. In a real Mongolian restaurant you'd expect horse on the menu, and despite the Taiwanese origins the Mongolian BBQ doesn't disappoint in this regard.
