  Spouting Horn
by annk

As waves break on the rocks water is forced into a lava tube which spurts up like a geyser and produces an eerie sound. The larger the waves the higher the seawater spurts (up to 50 ft.). Better viewing is during high tide. Obviously my visit was not during the peak time. There is a protected fenced in viewing area.

Public parking, picnic tables and restrooms are available. Vendors have stalls set up by the parking area selling jewelry and souvenirs. This is a stop for tour buses. No admission charged to view Spouting Horn.

Directions: From Poipu Road headed towards the beach make a right on Lawa'i Road. The split in the road is at the "Welcome to Poipu Beach" sign in lava rock. Spouting Horn is a couple miles down the road on the left.
