the historic desert inn was built around 1925 on the site of a trading post that dated back to the 1880's. the desert inn is listed on the national register of historic places. the inn is decorated with artifacts of old central florida. the desert inn is a combination restaurant, bar, and motel. i wouldn't recommend staying there but it is a fun place to stop by for lunch or a beer.
