Ramada Limited New Jersey: "cheap but good hotel next to metrostation" New York City Hotel Tip by monne

We (means 3 people) were in the USA a few weeks ago to tavel around on our own. We wanted to vistit New York -of course- but quite cheap but comfortable. My hint is: try to get a hotel in New Jersey, respectively Jersey City. We booked a hotel accomodation at the Ramada Limited (65 Tonnelle Ave, NJ) for circa 100 Euro per night in one room with 3 persons. There was a huge bed (king size?) for 2 of us and in a seperate room another large bed (queen size?) for one.

Breakfast was included, but it was -like mostly american hotel breakfasts- moderate. If you like to eat from styrofoam with platic cutlery - this is the right location. Excuse me, when im unfair, but as a european tourist I love to eat from real dishes. Every meal produced a lot of mess. And there is only sweet brakfast available - no cheese, ham and things like that. Just jam, marmalade, sirup... on toast or rolls. But the coffee was quite good and there were some juices available, too.

All in all it was a typical american hotel. But it was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The metro station was just a 5 min walk away (3,75 Dollar to ride to NY City one way).

Unique Qualities: breakfast included

Address: Ramada Limited, 65 Tonnelle Ave, Jersey City, New Jersey
Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: Metro station: Journal Square
Price: US$20-40
Theme: Hotel
