Crown and Anchor: "Off the Beaten Path British Pub" New Orleans Nightlife Tip by maestrousmc

New Orleans Nightlife: 416 reviews and 404 photos

If you take the ferry from Canal street to New Orleans' West Bank, you'll be steps away from the local hangout, "Crown and Anchor Bar" where you'll find a magnificent replication of a British Pub. The owner and proprietor had chairs flown in from "across the pond" for this establishment which serves all your standard brews and grub. Live bands and/or musicians can be heard at this wonderful little hangout spot, conceptually far away from the rest of New Orleans. The setting is rather small so it may be standing room only on a weekend evening. Visit the site I've provided for scheduled events. Trivia on some nights.

One of my favorite places to go.

Dress Code: Come as you are.

Address: 200 Pelican Ave New Orleans
Directions: Take the ferry from Canal Street across the river. Once you leave the dock make a right and walk about 2 blocks. You'll see it on your right hand sde.
Theme: Eating and Drinking
