Museum San Martino, Naples: 6 reviews and 11 photos

We found out about this from our guide book. The guide books says that you can go in to the former monastery, now museum and take an elevator ride for 6 Euros for a grand view. Well, we arrived just a few minutes before closing so did not take the elevator ride. However, just being up there you can see incredible views for free! We took a cab ride there from Galleria Umberto and it took about 30 minutes to get there and cost abut 20 Euros. Pricey but well worth it. We were able to experience the driving in Naples as well as get a great tour of the city as we hiked up and up to the top of the mountain for the view. There is actually a bus stop up there so we took that back to a metro stop for 1 euro. It is a bit confusing and the girl in the museum was very nice and gave us a map with directions on where to get off at, etc.
