  • La Hoya, Children's Pool - California

La Hoya is a great town with lots of nice unique houses. I spent a few hours just driving around looking at the houses.
The Childrens' pool in La Hoya, is part of the ocean that they barracaded off years ago to make it safer for kids to swim in. There are no more children allowed because it is now a safe haven for seals. You aren't allowed on the beach but you can walk out onto a bridge where the seals rest on the rocks only about 7 feet below you. There was also a baby seal swimming in the water when i was there. Unfortunately i went at night and all the pictures of the seals came out blurry.
Also check out the Sunset cliffs which are right next to La Hoya. (If you get one of those tourist guides they have in the hotels it show the exact location of all of these places)
