  Coptic Church
by pangtidor

The good attraction will be THE COPTIC MUSEUM, THE COPTIC/HANGING CHURCH, AND THE CRYPT OF THE HOLY FAMILY. The oldest Coptic church in Egypt is also called hanging church because it was built on the Roman tower. You may see it under its glass floor near the entrance of the church. The architecture of the church imitates the Arch of Noah (the ceiling part) and they still keep the original stage in the middle of the church. Dont miss the Coptic Monalisa, located on the right after the church entrance. This is the only tourist spot in Cairo without the entrance fee!! After the main entrance going to the church, you will see the painting wall at the sides. This is the only tourist spot in Cairo without the entrance fee!! You will have to pay though for the museum only. THE CRYPT OF THE HOLY FAMILY at the underground and it is in front of the Metro station. You may take pictures without the flash.
