"Disappointing" Guinness Brewery Tip by iaint

I found this an expensive disappointment (€14 each). I went in with an open mind, and an enjoyment of the product.

However, the "reconstructions" of the production process and computerised displays, left me cold. I've known how to make beer for years, and I sure as hell know how to pour a pint. My friend was expecting to see the "real thing", so she was disappointed too.

The memorabilia and advertising display were a bit more interesting.

There seemed too many youngsters getting stuck into the black stuff.

My guess is that the whole purpose (apart from pushing the brand) was to get us into the magnificent gift shop on the way out!

I've been round a couple of whisky distilleries (free of charge), and they win hands down!
