As soon as I stepped inside the door onto Parliament Square, I started to think about my own student days in Aberdeen (30-35 years ago). Must have been transition to the calm oasis inside from the hustle of the city outside.

We loved the College grounds, the surrounding buildings, the trees, the Henry Moore, the relaxed but purposeful air of the students and staff.

We ended up just sitting in Fellows' Square for a while reminiscing about my student time in Aberdeen and her's in Istanbul - both in the 70's.

We were too late to get in to see the Book of Kells, so that will have to wait for another time.

Go see!
