Mambucal is a great place as a day trip from Bacolod as believe me: There are plenty of things to do here and despite being a developed resort already, there are still many chances to enjoy the nature and wilderness around here!

Bats- The bats are given the red carpet here, amazingly despite the rapid developments and the construction in the area, bats still call Mambucal resort their 'home'. You can see the bats flying just by looking up at the trees even in day time.

Beehives- Amazingly, the bees are also given the red carpet here! The beehives are easily missed (Our tour guide to the trek told us where to find them) which is no surprise since they're hidden way on top of the trees. Also, nobody dares to climb the trees just to shoo them away!

Falls- Mambucal ain't complete without its set of waterfalls!

With just these already in mind, it's already clear that Mambucal really has the word 'Nature.' So no wonder many people enjoy going here just to escape the city life and be out in the wild for a while! But that's not all what Mambucal has to offer! Apparently, Mambucal also has some other juicy things to enjoy!

Sulfur spring- It may smell like rotten eggs but legend has it that the one who baths here will look a whole lot younger! Despite this legend though, hardly anyone (Including me) seems brave enough to bath here! (Everyone just looks at it in curiosity!) Is the smell really a turn off?

Slide for Life- Finally! A place in Bacolod where you can fly like a flying squirrel! The Slide for Life isn't just an ordinary kiddy slide: It's much better! It's those things where you hang on a slide going down like a flying squirrel! Okay, it may not be as thrilling as a bungee jump but hey! At least it's still fun and for only 100 pesos ($2.5) for two trips, what's there to complain?

And there are other stuff like swimming pools, dipping pools, boating, rock climbing and more!
