"Humayun's Tomb- A Mughal Marvel" New Delhi Things to Do Tip by Preetibandooni

New Delhi Things to Do: 437 reviews and 888 photos

As I entered the main gates I stood in amazement for a few moments completely enchanted with the beauty and simplicity of Humayun?s Tomb. I have visited the city many times earlier but never showed any interest in visiting a mausoleum, fortunately suggested by my friend I finally visited the tomb. This tomb is attributed to Sayyid Muhammad and his father they were patent poet and architects of Mughal courts and the visit to Humayun?s Tomb was very peaceful experience. The entire Humayun?s Tomb complex consists of various buildings designed in exquisite Mughal architecture. The complex is decked with beautifully landscaped gardens designed in exact Mughal style which provides the entire complex a tranquilizing ambience thus it is most deservingly designated as a World Heritage Site
