The Badisches Landesmuseum, the museum of the state of Baden, shows culture and history from prehistoric to 20th century in its permanent displays. Remarkable temporary exhibitions are shown several times a year.

Their most famous treasure are the trophies Marggrave Ludwig Wilhelm of Baden-Baden brought from the wars against the Turks around 1700. These can also be seen online in a "virtual museum": http://tuerkenbeute.de/ (page in German)

Opening hours: Tues-Thurs 10-17, Fri-Sun and public holidays 10-18

Entrance fee: adults ? 4, concessions ? 3 for the permanent collection and small exhibitions.
For large temporary exhibitions: adults ? 8, concessions ? 6

Free entry on Fridays 14-18
