"Arsenals Hall, National Museum of Art" Latvian National Museum of Art Tip by kit_mc
Latvian National Museum of Art, Riga: 5 reviews and 9 photos
Arsenals houses part of the National Museum of Art and as such seems to have rotating exhibitions rather than a permanent display. This place looked quite interesting from the outside, with sculptures of some (presumably) famous Latvians lining the street outside so I was quite keen to see within.
While I was there, a really impressive, massive exhibition of contemporary Latvian art was on. I also read that the building houses over 12,000 pictures, scupltures and other works of art by Latvian emigres.
Arsenals is also home to the biennial film festival.
Entry for the exhbition cost 2.50 lat.
