Medziotoju Uzeiga: "Hunters Inn" Kaunas Restaurant Tip by sigthor_egle

Kaunas Restaurants: 111 reviews and 129 photos

It's our favourite restaurant in Kaunas where we go to have something from hunters every time we meet :) Medziotoju Uzeiga means Hunters Inn in Lithuanian.

The restaurant is in the town hall which is usually rather empty but rather cosy as it reminds old times of the town. You may see the town hall and plenty of weddings up there on weekends as it's the place where usually people get married in Kaunas. Hunters Inn also has tables outside during summertime.

The house where the restaurant is located used to be a house of a famous writer back to 19th century, then it was elite place in Soviet Union and now it's a restaurant for those who like unusual meat.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is rather cosy but if you are too sensitive to see stuffed animals then choose another place to eat at.

Favorite Dish: Last time we ate there, Sigthor had a beavers stew (seasonal dish) which was the first dish he said was tasty in restaurant in Lithuania. Since he's rather picky, I suppose this stew was really good.

I'm almost dying for the Ceasar salad of Hunters Inn and try to visit the restaurant periodically. They have it with salmon, turkey breast or wild animals meat.
