Boudro's: "High Class Mexican" San Antonio Restaurant Tip by msbrandysue

Boudro's is a nice mixture of fine dining and laid back river walk-in dining. You can sit inside the (unairconditioned) restaurant or sit outside on the river. Call me clumsy but if I sat 1 foot from the river somehow I'd make it in there. If you do choose to eat outside beware that at busy times people will be walking right past you constantly. I think I would feel as if I'm being watched.
Anyways, back to the food. It was really good. I, of course, came here due to Patricia's advice in her 1000 places to see before you die. We tried the guacamole made "at our table." The waiter couldn't push his cart back in the corner so we watched from afar. I had the prickly pear margarita (and could have had 10 more). My main entree was the shrimp enchiladas and I ate every bit! I think we also ordered dessert....some sort of chocolate/caramel cake and ice cream I think.
We went at 8pm on a Friday night. There was a good amount of wait time and the waiter acted like we bugged him. I might try a more calm time to go to get a better experience.
