The crypt of the neo-gothic chapel, built 1889-1896 by Friedrich Hemberger, contains the graves of the house of Baden. Grandduke Friedrich I. and his wife, Grandduchess Luise, had it built after the early death of their son Ludwig Wilhelm in 1888.
Those family members who had been buried in the Stadtkirche (market square) before were translocated here in 1946.
The chapel can be visited with a (rare) guided tour only.

Location: Schlosspark, Lärchenallee - direction Northeast of the palace tower, autside the circle of Adenauerring. Watch for signposts in the Eastern part of the park.
