"WHERE CAN I GET THE BEST ICE CREAM IN TOWN?" Top 5 Page for this destination Reggio Emilia Restaurant Tip by PALLINA

Reggio Emilia Restaurants: 13 reviews and 7 photos

Italian traditional ice cream is something special, daily fresh and genuine. This is the reason why we hate normally ice creams when we are abroad, which are usually frozen, artificial and very expensive. If you are in my home town I can suggest the following ice cream shops, which do not have service at the tables. We are used to eat it while walking (and we are always in a hurry!)

1. GELATERIA K2, via Guido da Castello, 7/f, tel. +39-0522-433861, Old Town. Its name is a sort of legend in Reggio, here the flavour "Giovanna" was created by a former employee called so. Try such flavour, which can be found just in Reggio. No tables but some (crowded) benches

2. CAPRICCIO, Vicolo Trivelli, 2, Old Town. Very big in comparison to prices, flavours translation into English. No tables but some (crowded) benches

3. CAPOLINEA, via Simonazzi, 14, +39-0522-452722, just outside Old Town. Very appreciated from locals, you can park nearby. No tables but many (crowded) benches

4. ALASKA, Viale Regina Elena, 16, +39-0522-921028, just outside Old Town. No tables but some (crowded) benches

5. MILLEVOGLIE, Largo Marco Gerra (ex Dogana), outside Old Town. Although it is of recent foundation, it has became one of my favourite. They have very special traditional flavours together with a lot of experimental ones, like "Cuba" (a mix of chocolate and rum). No tables but some (crowded) benches
