"Just go" Graceland Tip by eccentricplanet

Graceland, Memphis: 68 reviews and 114 photos

Sure, it's Graceland. It's kitschy, it's expensive, and it's touristy...but once you get into the mansion, it really IS about The King, and the things you learn on the audio tour--especially if you didn't know all that much about Elvis--are not only interesting but even moving. Ending at his grave in the Meditation Garden, I know I had a new appreciation for Elvis. Who he was, what he did, and how he changed the world. I'm glad I went, and took the kids, too, especially since they are aspiring musicians.. They weren't even bored.
