  St. Michael Chapel

The history of the St. Michael Chapel (Kaplnka sv. Michala) dates back to the early 14th century and is therefore Kosice's second oldest edifice.

It was originally built as a cemetery chapel, hence the name St. Michael, who was the patron of the dead.

The St. Michael Chapel is located just south of St. Elisabeth Catherdal. It belongs to the cathedral complex at the Central Square (Hlavne namestie) in the old town (Stare Mesto).
