Dok Bua: "Authentic Thai Food" Dok Bua Thai Restaurant Tip by risse73

Dok Bua Thai Restaurant, Boston: 1 reviews and 0 photos

This is the only authentic Thai restaurant that I can consider in the Boston area. Although there are numerous Thai restaurants in and around the city, Dok Bua particularly stands out due to the array of authentic Thai dishes and for staying true to the essence of its ingredients (e.g., chili, basil, etc.) without catering so much to mainstream tastes, thus making the food bland. The food selections are wide-ranging with many choices of rice/noodle & vermicelli dishes as well as other Thai entrees. They are always busy, a testament of how good they truly are, but manage to serve with efficiency and grace. They are right along Harvard Street in the Coolidge Corner area on the "C" line. I highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Favorite Dish: The assortment of rice dishes with various meats (e.g., garlic chicken, seafood combo, etc.), the noodle/vermicelli dishes, spring rolls, among many others. For dessert, I especially love the rich and delicious sticky rice with coconut sauce and fresh mango!
