Hi, The cheapest city centre accomodation can be found on the waterfront. Have a look at the YHA www.YHA.org.uk. This is a fairly new cheap and cheerful travel hostel. For something a bit more expensive try www.hotelformula1.com or the Ibis Hotel or Express Hoiday Inn on the Albert Dock. Going a bit more up market try the Thistle Atlantic Tower Hotel. This is medium range hotel recently refurbished. All of these are in close proximity to each other so if necessary you could split up if getting rooms proves problematic.
