ADDIS ABABA RESTAURANT: "MAKE YOUR LIFE TASTY !" Addis Ababa Restaurant Tip by DAO
Addis Ababa Restaurant, London: 4 reviews and 17 photos
This family run restaurant claims that it will 'make your life tasty'. They do. From authentic Ethiopian music to cold beer they make you feel at home ? in Addis. I had the ?Addis Ababa? which is a selection of dishes and it was all great. The owner is from Addis Ababa himself and is really friendly and personable. The amount of ex-pat Ethiopians eating here will tell you this is the real deal. They also specialise in 3 dishes: Goden Tibs, Special Kitfo & Doro Wat. Tibs are rib meat sautéed in butter with rosemary, onions and peppers. Kitfo is raw beef with butter. Doro Wat is a piece of large chicken, egg and a hot (not too hot) red sauce. All are served with Injera. Remember; eat with your right hand!
This cool restaurant also has live Ethiopian Music every Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 7:30pm ? 12:00am. Pop in for a fun Ethiopian experience!
Please note: they have a great website if you would like a peek.
I had the ?Addis Ababa? also known in Ethiopia as ?Marhabarowi?. It a little of every dish (pictured) with a dry cheese as well. Delicious. Don?t forget an authentic St. George?s Beer ?Kazzkazza?. That means cold!
