Insalata's: "Upscale Mediterranean" Insalata's Tip by eccentricplanet

Insalata's, San Francisco: 1 reviews and 0 photos

I ate here many times while interviewing the chef, Heidi Krahling. Absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this upscale Mediterranean-inspired restaurant in San Anselmo, just over the bridge from the city. I tried almost everything on the menu, and nothing was lacking. If you love Italian and Middle Eastern-inspired food that's achingly fresh and just a little edgy, you'll love this place. A local artist, Laura Parker, painted the sensual fruit and vegetables on the walls. Worth the drive!

Favorite Dish: Moroccan Lamb Tagine with couscous, but the menu changes often.
