"Shrines and Temples" Japan Things to Do Tip by dancinbudgie

It wouldn't be a trip to Japan without visiting some temples and shrines. If you would like to get your 'fix' all in one hit, I suggest taking a day trip from Tokyo to Nikko. Nikko is a world heritage listed site, and I guarantee you will see enough temples and shrines to satisfy! It is a huge complex though, so get there early...better yet, spend the night and have the place to yourself after the tour buses all leave!
