"Classic Cuban Art on Display" Museo de Bellas Artes Tip by cochinjew

Museo de Bellas Artes, Havana: 8 reviews and 14 photos

After five years of renovation, the Museum of Bellas Artes has been open for a while now. The entire building has been renovated and an incredibly beautiful annexe added, with a large collection of antiquities housed there.
The best part is the cuban art collection, mainly from 19th and 20th centuries. It is exhibited in such a way that an evolution from spanish colonial to cuban creole realism can be traced. I suggest you engage a guide, so that the nuisances can be understood and personal histories about the painters learned.
please allott one morning to the museum and visit the annexe at the end and marvel at the reconstructed asturiana hall, it is actually something to behold.

Directions: Habana Vieja , entrance at the front of the Granma Monument
