Girona's huge Cathedral dominates the skyline of the town centre. The Cathedral was built in 1416 and has survived many seiges during it's long history. The west side of the Cathedral is built in Catalan Baroque style while the rest of the building is Gothic. The Cathedral houses a museum and also boasts impressive cloisters. The Cathedral is part of the town's historic and archeological walk whihc runs along the old town, mostly atop the city's ancient ramparts.

Directions: Cross the river from the east at Pont d'en Gómez and climb the hill towards the Cathedral area.
