This is a valley with stone columns jutting up from the floor or adjacent to the sides of the valley on which religious believers have over the years built many churches or monastaries. Many of them are accessiable only by an elevator operated by hand. Some are close to the valley wall and have bridges built to access them.
Directions: North central Greece, north of Delphi, west from Athens.
