"Bike or Hike in the Seminole County trails." Lake Mary Things to Do Tip by nomad7890

Lake Mary Things to Do: 2 reviews and 1 photos

Lake Mary is a nice place to get some good exercise in between the parks or the beaches. There are many trails and bike paths. The nicer part of the trail falls on the west side of I-4, now called "Heathrow". This is an area of corporate offices with lush greenery, quiet surroundings and beautiful landscaping. If you start out from Lake Mary Blvd and International Drive you will find a bike bridge that crosses I-4 - take the challenge and pedal up! Once you're there it's fun to take a pause and stand on top of the Interstate. You can then go down to Rinehart Road and if you wish you could go left (will end up in a mall) or right to Lake Mary Blvd, however the ride is not as nice in the Rinehart part as it is in the Heathrow side. There is, however, a section of the trail starting behind the Target store off Lake Mary Blvd in the Rinehart side that goes inside the subdivisions and goes under a tunnel which has a good ECHO - directions given below.

If you are visiting in the summer it would be best to undertake this expedition earlier in the day, particularly if you're not used to the heat and humidity. But no worries, there are several markets and places to buy water and refreshments.

Address: From I-4 exit on Lake Mary Blvd and go west
Directions: Heathrow access: Park at the lot in the shopping area in the corner of Lake Mary and International Drive - go north on International Drive.
Lake Mary Blvd access: Park on the shopping area by Lake Mary and Rhinehart and find the tbehind the Target store.
