Located in Rhodes Town, the Knights Hospital is in nearly perfect condition. It was the most important building of the knights as it underlined the origional purpose of the Order, which was to house and treat suffering pilgrims from the Holy Land, and later the Crusaders. It began to be built in 1440 and was completed in 1484. It now houses the archeological museum of Rhodes. On the ground floor, to the left and right of the entranceway, are arched openings to the store rooms which are now used as comercial shops.
