"Gatlinburg's Worst Hotel Service" Terrace Inn on the Water Tip by IndianaJim

Terrace Inn on the Water, Gatlinburg: 46 reviews and 0 photos

This has to be the worst hotel experience ever. We have been coming to Gatlinburg for over 40 years. Our parents brought us as children and now we are bringing ours. Hotel is in an excellent location and you can walk to all the fun attractions and restaurants of Gatlinburg. The rooms are old but you have to expect some of that when you come to the smokey mountains. The hotels, motels and chalets stay full around here especially on the weekends and holidays. Next to a beautiful stream.

Those are the good qualities now the cons. The owners are control freaks. They are intrusive to their guests going as far as snooping and coming in the room to perform a daily inspection like the Gestapo. Its one thing to keep a good clean hotel its a entire different matter to invade the privacy of the guests. Just because you make up some rules does not mean that are right and or legal. I heard of a guest that was ill and did not want to leave their room and put the do not disturb sign on the door and the owners forced their way in and made them leave.

Unique Qualities: This has to be the most rude staff ever. They do not care about customer satisfaction. Many of their reviews on other sites are clearly written by them its obvious and unquestionable. You can see it in the way they attack the negative responses. Please choose wisely when staying on vacation and if you stay here you will likely regret it.
