Ulhee Leu Surviving Mosque, A Zero Point
by Rinjani

Ulhee Leu was one of the most hardest hit in tsunami 2004. The area could not be entered for three days, and the area was flattened. It was still bizarre that the mosque which is located exactly near the sea is still survive to this day. On that day, people took refugee in the mosque. And none of the survivors could explain how they could breathe inside the mosque while other places were drowned by the water. Today, the fact and myth collide. Though now people are still eager to listen to the story. Today, the mosque and surrounding area is declared as the zero point.
