"A Very Nice Hilltop Winery" Augusta Things to Do Tip by lostsooner55

Augusta Things to Do: 7 reviews and 1 photos

Montelle Winery is located on MO-94, about 2 miles east of Augusta. Its location atop a ridge allows for very nice views into the Missouri River valley below. In addition to the wine tasting area there is a small gift shop, a snack bar, and a large, bi-level , shaded, open air patio. During the summer and fall months there are usually musicians playing on the weekend. I've seen them have everything from a small classical music ensemble to jazz, to folk music. From May through September, the winery often hosts Sunset Dinners on both Friday and Saturday evenings. The dinners start at 7 PM. Reservations are required, and must be made at least 48 hours prior to the dinner. You may make reservations by calling 888-595-WINE, (ext. 22). 2007 prices were 13.99 per person for Friday dinners, and 17.99 per person on Saturdays. This price does NOT include wine.
