"Forte de Copacabana" Copacabana Tip by HispanicYob
Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro: 108 reviews and 169 photos
The Forte de Copacabana is at the south side of Copacabana Beach. It's a former fort and is now a museum. Among the things you can find here are huge artillery guns and even guards just like at Buckhingham Palace in London, where they don't move! The cost, if I remember right, to get in is about R$5.00. The complex also houses a museum that contains everything from soilder's uniforms to shells used in the artillery guns. There's also a great place to view surrounding Copacabana. A good way to kill some time.
Directions: At the East side of Copacabana Beach, near the Sofitel Hotel.
