Castle Hernen is build round 1400 as a fortified house, which is expanded over the years. Due to a heavy storm the round tower has been collapsed. There has never been a fight to capture the castle, so the building still looks like it did in the middle ages. Special things to mention are a round prison with such an acoustics that the prisoner would go crazy when he spook.
The covered pace is unique for the Netherlands.
