Australia and Oceania Things to Do: 244 reviews and 430 photos

With loads and loads of coastlines, there are no shortages of beaches- crowded, isolated, secluded, etc in Australia especially north of NSW and even just over an hour from Sydney!

Just follow th signs out of Sydney going to the north- F3 -freeway and you will be left in awe at the numerous selections of beaches, lakes, rivers, bodies of water that offer all kinds of activities/or non-activity to the tourists or locals alike!

Hotels, resorts, caravan parks- whatever you fancy, you won't be disappointed as facilities in Australia are all decent and mostly clean. The ratings will give a good clue of the accommodation that you might choose too!

But in general, you will never go wrong even staying at family owned little motels or boutique Bed and Breakfast places that abound in the area.

Aside from soaking up the fresh ocean air, some other things to do without spending much:

canoeing/boating, having picnics/barbecues, fishing (must pay a small fee for fishing license)/prawning, bushwalking, learning to skip stone at any of the many bodies rivers and lakes in the coast from Central to South Coast of NSW, visiting the many parks and reserves, window shopping for arts and crafts (usually during weekend at fairs, but you will be tempted to buy as they are reasonably priced) swimming and surfing of course, plus many others!

Or, better still, you may want to just drive for a day trip to the beaches of he CentraL COAST!

Address: Central coast of NSW, Australia
Directions: It is just an hour's drive at the start of the freeway from Wahroonga. Follow the signs - whether going north or south there's always a freeway to the coastline.
