located near the swimming pool at the flamingo is a plaque commemorating the gangster bernard "bugsy" siegal as one of the founders of the modern day las vegas strip. the mob is long gone from the vegas strip and the hotels and casinos are now owned by wall street and multinational corporations. directly behind the flamingo pool is a high rise time share condo. this condo was built on the site of bugsy siegal's house in the 1980's.
