  Kronentor's golden glow
by richiecdisc

The Crown Gate or Kronentor is perhaps the Zwinger?s most noted feature; its bright gold crown gleaming from atop the ornate baroque entrance gate. The four seasons are represented by statues found in the four niches within. Next to the Crown Gate is Porzellansammlung, a museum that houses an extensive porcelain collection, not hard to imagine with world renowned Meissen a short distance away. Entrance to this museum is included in the day pass for all the museums within the Zwinger. Information below.
