Cafe Blanca: "Good coffee and mint tea" Café Blanca Tip by Spincat
Café Blanca, London: 1 reviews and 1 photos
This is a little local coffee and tea house on Brockley Road. The owners are Moroccan and they do a really great mint tea - the former owner told me how to make it properly at home.
Cafe Blanca started up as a cafe/restaurant doing some excellent North African dishes in exotic surroundings. It is now under new management and, while its hours are rather more reliable (you used never to know whether it would be open or not), it does less in the food line. The salads and paninis are still good; decor isn't quite so fabulous now, but still bright and attractive.
It is really more of a cafe/bar these days, and is a good place for smokers who are a bit lost on Brockley road. They have screened off an area of outside seating from this busy main road - great to find somewhere that has made an effort to cater for smokers, whether cigarettes or sheesh sheesh.
