Unique Qualities: This hotel is one of the landmarks of the city. The original hotel was founded in 1887 by the Sarkies Brothers, and was located near the sea. The current hotel building was built in 1899 by architect Alfred Jhon Bidwell. Used as a camp for prisioners of war in the Second World War, the hotel was totally restored and now the hotel is a National Monument.
