During day and even night, lots of swans are gliding on the calm waters of the West Lake. These swans are in fact pedaloes, and in evenings and even at night, lots of people (mainly couples) use them, have a little trip far from the shore to have a bit of intimacy! During evening , or at night, after a visit to some temple or a walk in the noisy streets, it is not bad to walk in a calm atmosphere (Ah, I write this a lot in my “tips”), observe the people, have a drink in one of the cafés located on the shore; the Eastern shore is in fact a road separating Ho Tay Lake from the tiny Truc Bach lake. Interesting to find a Potomac café here (Vietnamese people are very humorous, I remember a “Apocalypse Now Café” in Ho Chi Min city!), in Hanoi, may be they wish important people from Washington come for a visit one day and they feel like at home. . . . ! Why not have a ride on one of those swans?
