"Sandbars and Rising Tides" Baie-Comeau Warnings Or Dangers Tip by CoastalKid

Baie-Comeau Warnings and Dangers: 1 reviews and 0 photos

The huge assortment of sandbars revealed in the St. Lawrence River behind Champlain Avenue can be an interesting place to explore, especially on a warm sunny day, but find out what the daily tide schedule is before you go, or keep a wary eye on whether the tide is going out or coming in while you are out there. As the tide rises, the sandbars tend to become encircled, cutting them off from the shoreline, and the water temperatures in the St. Lawrence River can be extremely cold, even for wading.
