For someone new to whitewater rafting, you can join the activity at the Slim River, Perak. The journey will take about 3 hours, and starts from Kampung Ulu Slim. The rapids are of Class III, and can be challenging at times. The rafting journey would also take you through some orang asli (ethnic) villages.

One of the most challenging rapid would be the Jeram Kotak, where there would be a 90 degree drop plus a 7 metre wall ahead.

The halfway spot also provides you with another fun activity, which would be the body surfing for about 50 metres.

Equipment: 1. Extra clothing as you will definitely get wet
2. Protective equipment such as helmet and life jackets (these would be provided by the tour operator)
3. Dry bag
