Relais de l'Entrecôte is somewhat of a concept restaurant in that they serve steak-frites and only steak-frites for one set price (I believe it's 23?, wine & dessert extra). The best part is that they bring you two servings! This is preceded by a salad with walnuts and mustard vinaigrette (which I love) with crusty bread & butter, served with a bottle of the wine (I tried the Cuvée du Relais de l'Entrecôte) and afterwards you can choose dessert. I opted for the crème brûlée (never a bad idea for me).

The only problem is that in a city that serves awesome steak, I was a little underwhelmed by the offering. The steak is served with their own secret recipe sauce (I've heard it's made from seafood other places say chicken livers, in any case it's an herbed butter base) and many people love it. I was a bit underwhelmed. The steaks were a little thin and a bit too chewy, but all in all for the price it wasn't too bad. And the line was way down the block minutes after I was seated (I was the first one in).

They have a sister restaurant also called Relais de l'Entrecôte located in the 8th arrondissement at 15, rue Marbeuf which is not too far from Mandala Ray, Johnny Depp's bar, so you could go there afterwards for a drink or a bit of nightlife.
