El Charro: "Sonoran Cuisine" Tucson Restaurant Tip by leplaya

Tucson Restaurants: 157 reviews and 175 photos

El Charro provides Sonoran Mexican cuisine. The unique ingredient is carne seca, smoked shredded beef that is really good. The atomosphere is very festive. They have good drinks and mariachis. There's a very large menu with meat and seafood options (there may be some vegetarian, but you'll have to look for it). The prices are great for the amount of food you get. The downtown location (Court St.) was very busy when I visited and I had to wait about 30 min. But, they have a nice bar attached, so waiting was no problem.

Favorite Dish: The carne seca is something that you should try.
