Detail of the Holy Cross Church

It is probably impossible to mention all interesting Warsaw churches (often dedicated to one of the many different catholic religious orders) so I made individual tips only about the three that struck me as most interesting, namely the Church of the Holy Cross, St. Anne`s Church, and the Archcathedral of St. John the Baptist. Please be respectful when visiting as these churches are still places of worship and prayer, something often forgotten in the West where churches often seem to be mere tourist attractions with people walking around, talking, flashing cameras etc.

My inccomplete list of interesting Warsaw churches:

along the "Royal Route":
- St. Anna`s Church (near Plac Zamkowy)
- Church of St. Joseph`s care (near the Wyszynski statue)
- Church of the Holy Cross

in the Old Town:
- Archcathedral of St. John the Baptist
- St. Martin`s Church
Church of our Lady of Grace (Jesuit)

in the New Town:
- Church of the Holy Spirit
- St. Jacks Church
- St. Kazimierz Church
- Church of the Visitation of Blessed Virgin Mary
- St. Francis Seraphic

off the beaten path:
- St. Anna`s Church in Wilanow (near the Palace)
- the Powazki cemetery church
