View of Hong Kong from the Peak
by mad4travel

If the weather is clear and sunny get yourself up to the peak. Go early to avoid the crowds. Also go early to avoid the haze and smog which builds up during the day.

You can get the No 15 bus from Admiralty MTR and sit on the top deck for an amazing ride up(and hold onto your stomach on the way down!)

The view across the island and Kowloon is one of the best in the world. There is a viewing platform which tells you what all the buildings are.

There is also the peak observatory, a weird shape building of cafes shops and entertainment. They charge $20HK to go to the top but I didn't think the view was much different than from the walkway so its not worth the money. It says you can get a 360 degree view but the view from the other side is not very interesting at all.

You can also get the peak tram from here.

There is also a shopping mall up there with the usual suspects such as Starbucks and McDonalds
