  • Visit Tito's Grave! - Belgrade

Visiting Josip Broz Tito's (1892-1980) grave was one of our highlights during our most recent trip to Belgrade. Though situated about 10 minutes by taxi outside of the city center, Tito's grave is an awesome experience.

Once you find the complex that houses Tito's grave (it isn't obvious at first, so ask the man in the main museum), walk inside and admire Tito's office and his extensive collection of relay race battons (yes - relay race batton - we found this collection very bizarre). The interior of the building is very nicely decorated and photographs are allowed. Approach the casket and pay your respects to the Balkans' most influential leader.

Highly reccomended!

Address: Bulevar Mira
Directions: Immediately behind the very unimpressive Historical Museum of Yugoslavia
