The Adler Planetarium is rightly regarded as one of the Lakefront treasures of Chicago. It's one of the United States leader astronomical observaties, and a true center for the teaching and learning of the space sciences. There was a time in my adolescence when I was fascinated by stars and planets. Maybe it's a phase that everyone goes through. At any rate, if you are still in that "phase," or if you have family members who are in it, the Adler Planetarium is a "must-see" for your Chicago visit.
