  • Interesting scenery driving from Rissani to Agdz - Morocco

The road from Rissani to Agdz via Alnif and Nkob and on up from there up the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate is a route Ive been on quite a number of times and is a recommended inclusion to create a circuit if driving from Marrakech to see the desert at Merzouga, which would be up over TizinTichka to Ouarzazate and along the Dades Valley Road to Erfoud and Rissani.

The route is fairly barren and wild looking but interesting with the rather stunning hill and mountain formations along the way, with mudbrick villages amazingly surviving and picturesquely positioned amongst the desert and barren plateau areas below.

Along the way be on the look out for camels and camel caravans, sand storms and 4x4 caravans and signs of the local life to add interest and photo opportunities!
